THE BEASTS of the field and forest had a Lion as their king. He was neither wrathful, cruel, nor tyrannical, but just and gentle as a king could be. During his reign he made a royal proclamation for a general assembly of all the birds and beasts, and drew up conditions for a universal league, in which the Wolf and the Lamb, the Panther and the Kid, the Tiger and the Stag, the Dog and the Hare, should live together in perfect peace and amity. The Hare said, "Oh, how I have longed to see this day, in which the weak shall take their place with impunity by the side of the strong." And after the Hare said this, he ran for his life.
Whether you're down for the combination or not, King's Call of Duty mobile game is on the way. From the sounds of things we're not looking at another match-something puzzler, though. Instead, we may get something more predictable.

It's not the first time we've heard about King's upcoming Call of Duty mobile game, but since the publisher's on the lookout for a Level Designer it's nice to see they're pushing forward with it.

Though we still weren't sure what form the game would take, a few requirements in the job description point out that we're likely getting an FPS of some sort.

Given the recent successes with Fortnite, Shadowgun Legends, and PUBG Mobile it makes perfect sense for King to be going down this road, even if it's most prominently known for making match-three puzzlers.

"The aim is to create a Call of Duty experience on mobile, while also breaking new ground for mobile and redefining the genre. The approach and ambition is to be fresh, social, and highly accessible, while providing a very authentic game experience."

There were also two other jobs on the board for Senior Tools Designer and Senior Network Engineer.

Tin Man Games is following its usual release strategy by sneaking Caverns of the Snow Witch onto the Google Play Store a couple of weeks ahead of its release everywhere else.

The game is another Fighting Fantasy adaptation from the heyday of the physical gamebook. It was written by Ian Livingstone, and sees you traversing an icy waste to stop an evil Snow Witch from doing awful things.

This one looks like a more traditional digital version than Tin Man's previous Fighting Fantasy release Appointment with F.E.A.R., but you can expect the usual level of polish and digital dice-rolling all the same.

You can nab Caverns of the Snow Witch from the Google Play Store for £3.99 / $5.61 right now by following the Google Play link at the bottom of the page.

We'll let you know when it's released on iOS as well, because we're good like that.

Basketrio is a new sports game from developer Cube Magic Limited that's available now for iOS and Android devices in selected regions. As you'll have inferred from the title, it's a basketball game where you'll be able to play as an array of colourful characters in different outfits that don't immediately scream sports attire, but that's all part of the fun presumably.

It promises to be an easy to play but hard to master sports title that will see you taking part in 3 on 3 half-court basketball matches that are played at an intense, fast pace. Each game will last 3 minutes and, according to the developer, be skill-centric. Alternatively, you can dive into the one on one option if you'd prefer.
Dark Odds review - "Shallow scares and clunky choices"
There will be a series of different characters who can be signed to your team. Each will have their own characteristics, talents and abilities to consider when deciding who joins your roster. Once they've signed you'll be able to train them to best suit your playstyle. "Well, James Matthew is a name that will wear well and not fade in the washing," said Miss Cornelia. "I'm glad you didn't load him down with some highfalutin, romantic name that he'd be ashamed of when he gets to be a grandfather. Mrs. William Drew at the Glen has called her baby Bertie Shakespeare. Quite a combination, isn't it? And I'm glad you haven't had much trouble picking on a name. Some folks have an awful time. When the Stanley Flaggs' first boy was born there was so much rivalry as to who the child should be named for that the poor little soul had to go for two years without a name. Then a brother came along and there it was--`Big Baby' and `Little Baby.' Finally they called Big Baby Peter and Little Baby Isaac, after the two grandfathers, and had them both christened together. And each tried to see if it couldn't howl the other down. You know that Highland Scotch family of MacNabs back of the Glen? They've got twelve boys and the oldest and the youngest are both called Neil--Big Neil and Little Neil in the same family. Well, I s'pose they ran out of names."
And when in his fair parts she did abide,
